Therefore be it resolved that the Democratic Party of New Mexico supports aid to native, rural, indigenous people and impoverished reform legislation that alleviates poverty as envisioned by the U.N. Millenium Development Goals.

Therefore be it resolved that the Democratic Party is opposed to the Supreme Court ruling in the case of Citizens United as a corruption of our democratic electoral process, and to use all legal means to counteract this decision, in order to preserve the integrity of our free elections, and the value of each individual voice and vote.

Therefore be it resolved that the NM Congressional delegation support job creation legislation, support expanded unemployment benefits, and support recovery spending for local infrastructure projects, local community banks, small businesses, and other initiatives as needed to create jobs.

Therefore be it resolved that the Democratic Party of Bernalillo County support the abolition of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", allow gay men and lesbian women to serve openly in the armed forces of the United State and to allow redress for those forced to leave the military because of this policy

Let it be resolved that the Democratic Party of Bernalillo County calls for a special session of the Legislature to be called as soon as possible to repeal the income tax cuts that were enacted in 2003, to tax businesses not organized in New Mexico in the same manner as all local run businesses, and follow the rest of recommendations of the New Mexico Fiscal Policy Project of New Mexico Voices for Children.
